Jonathan Hendry named Young Architect of the Year

Lincolnshire-based firm takes coveted BD award

Jonathan Hendry Architects has won BD’s 2011 Young Architect of the Year award.

Hendry’s Lincolnshire-based practice beat four London firms including Foster Lomas, IPT Architects, RA Projects and RCKA, as well as George Saumarez Smith of Winchester’s Adam Architecture to the title.

All shortlisted entries can be viewed at an exhibition at the Architecture Foundation until November 26.

The jury this year included Moira Gemmill from the V&A, Julian Barwick of Development Securities, Autodesk senior director Pete Baxter and architects John McAslan and Peter St John.
