Site on Archway Road being turned into 25 apartments

A scheme by pH+ Architects to revamp a Victorian house in the Highgate Conservation Area of north London has been OK’d by planners.

The 3,600sq m project on Archway Road will include 25 apartments as well as shops and affordable workspace.

Internally the apartments are split up into two main components. Behind the retained facade, 15 flats will be located on three floors above a ground floor commercial unit. At the back, an existing one-storey building will be demolished and replaced with four family duplex units at ground and basement level. A further six residential units will be found on the three floors above.

The job is being developed for Archway Apartments.

  • Nice, if a bit lumpen and clumsy at street level - in my opinion - but just across the road from The Boogaloo. On a good day you should be able to see Shane McGowan brushing his er..teeth.

  • More “magic brickwork” : not structural, just ornamental?
