Competition to design Passivhaus for New Orleans
House should sit on typical lot in the city’s Ninth Ward
The American Institute of Architects is running a competition to design a Passivhaus for New Orleans to coincide with its 2011 National Convention.
The challenge, sponsored by computer manufacturer HP, is about addressing the need for a series of affordable, low-energy, single-family homes in the city where many neighbourhoods are still suffering the after effects of Hurricane Katrina.
Entries must be submitted by May 1.
