BD takes a look at the workspaces of architects

Ben Adams said: “I sit and draw at this desk whenever I can: I have a big fountain pen and a fat fibre tip to sketch with, and a thin one for precise drawings. My desk has no computer or phone. With a lack of means for clients to get in touch, the opportunity to think clearly about architecture is exponentially increased. It is very large and happy to accommodate a multitude of detritus. The model in the background is a new house in Kent that sits beside a forest on an flat, elevated site. There is a large Victorian cabinet just out of shot that we try and fill with curious and ambiguous things; trophies, Lego architecture series and prototypes.”
