The four projects in the running for this year’s commercial and public access project shortlist

The panel of judges, which included BD editorial director Amanda Baillieu and BD editor Ellis Woodman, selected the final 30 shortlisted projects from a record number of entries - 348 across the 5 categories.

The four shortlisted projects for the commercial and public access project category are:

Far Moore Bridge - in North Yorkshire - by the Yorkshire Dales National Park Auhtority - main wood type: Scottish larch

The Open Academy - in Norwich - by Sheppard Robson - main wood type: Laminated European Larch structural panels

Aylesbury Theatre - in Aylesbury - by Ramboll UK - main wood type: Profiled glulam 45mm laminations of Bavarian Larch with strength class C24

Tex-Tonic House - in London - by Paul McAneary Architects - main wood type: Solid oak, engineered oak, reclaimed Rhodesian teak
