Why wade into the Boat Race?
Your readers read BD to keep informed about the wide and varied world of architecture and design.
Why on earth, therefore, was Wouter Vanstiphout, himself a distinguished architectural historian, given a prominent platform (Opinion October 26) to air his views on the disruption of this year’s Boat Race and its aftermath. Please, spare us these diatribes.
Young Trenton Oldfield probably did not deserve to be banged up. On the other hand, his protest hardly “stuck it to the man”. Just another badly organised, self-appointed, bien-pensant quasi-leftist art stunt, if you ask me.
