In the first of a series of videos about facade design, Graham Fairley, head of facade engineering at Aecom, talks to Anthony Gell, CEO at The Business Voice about some of the hot topics in the industry today.

To kick off the series, Fairley considers the implications of the new Part L regulations, due to come into force this October, and reveals how they will change the appearance of buildings.

Fairley has more than 25 years of experience in building design, having worked with Rolfe Judd Architects, Richard Rogers Partnership, Foster & Partners, and Michael Hopkins. He has been director of facade engineering at Aecom since 2009, and has extensive knowledge of facade engineering and major cladding packages.

Fairley will be a guest speaker at the Facade Design Engineering & Delivery conference at Canary Wharf on October 12 and 13.
