Have we architects got it all wrong about the involvement of the Prince of Wales with buildings and the townscape that they relate to? (“Richard Rogers claims developers run projects past Prince of Wales” bdonline August 23).
When most of what we can see around us is initiated by estate agents with conclusions being strongly conditioned by highways engineers, it may be that anyone interested in urban design should be grateful that he expresses any interest at all.
Perhaps our concern should rather be that ministry officials, members of government and constitutionalists appear to think that how the world around us is organised is of such small importance to anyone that they can indulge the prince in this at least.
