The DTI and Business Link say: “Employers need to check for hidden age barriers in selection and promotion processes, and aim to place ads in publications read by a range of age groups, avoiding terms which imply a particular age group such as “mature”, “enthusiastic”, “highly experienced” or “recent graduate”.
