Development planned a stone’s throw from Lord’s cricket ground

A £150 million residential scheme planned opposite the home of cricket has been given the green light by Westminster City council.

Designed by Ryder Architecture and Make, the scheme over the road from Lord’s Cricket Ground will involve tearing down an existing 1960s building called Dora House and replacing it with 156 new senior living homes and 44 private apartments - the sale of which will fund the construction of the senior living accommodation.

Developer Central & Cecil Housing Trust said the current building, a sheltered housing scheme, was no longer fit for purpose.
