England’s largest education PFI project, a £130 million school scheme in Nottinghamshire by Aedas AHR architects, officially opened this week.
The scheme, by Nottinghamshire County Council and Balfour Beatty’s Transform Schools, redeveloped five secondary schools and one special needs school across Retford, Tuxford and Worksop (pictured), and built two new post-16 centres.
Richard Benfield of Transform Schools said: “We are extremely proud of delivering these new, high-quality facilities to a demanding programme and on budget.”
