Redevelopment would see nearly half of post-war building demolished

Heritage campaigners have objected to plans to knock down a large part of the former Scottish Widows headquarters in Edinburgh.

Schroders Capital, which owns the Category A-listed office building in Dalkeith Road, unveiled proposals earlier this month for a £100m redevelopment which would see part of the site repurposed for residential use.
