Practice said Nawaf Alanazi’s appointment reflects its ’long-term commitment’ to the region
Scott Brownrigg has appointed a new director for the Middle East as the practice seeks to grow its workloads in Saudi Arabia and the wider region.
Nawaf Alanazi will be based in the firm’s Riyadh studio and will be responsible for leading regional operations, driving business development and delivering major projects.
Alanazi brings more than 12 years of experience in engineering consultancy with work spanning Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Hong Kong.

His past roles include four years at Buro Happold, where he started as a mechanical design engineer graduate in Riyadh in 2015 before relocating to Dubai, and two years at AtkinsRealis between 2019 and 2021.
Alanazi was a client lead at WSP’s Middle East business between 2022 and 2023 and Middle East director at Spanish practice Morph Estudio for seven months in 2024.
Scott Brownrigg said his appointment reflects its “long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia and the Middle East”.
The firm’s chief executive Darren Comber said: “Nawaf’s strong regional experience, commercial insight and leadership together with our full registration to work locally will be instrumental in securing new opportunities and further strengthening our presence and profile in the region.”
