Four candidates for the RIBA presidency set out their stalls this week at a hustings event dominated by discussion over protection of function.

Voting in the election for the presidency opens on Monday and closes on 26 June. The successful candidate will take office from the start of September as RIBA president-elect for one year, before serving as president for two years from September 2027.
