The new London director of the Homes & Communities Agency, David Lunts, has vowed to be a “passionate advocate” for good design.
Lunts, formerly policy and partnerships director at the Greater London Authority, will be responsible for housing and regeneration and delivering mayor Boris Johnson’s target of 50,000 affordable homes by 2011.
Speaking to BD, Lunts said: “I don’t want to be associated with particular practices and styles but I do want to promote the importance of good designers and architects working on housing schemes.”
