Talented designers will always be talented, whether taught or not, so why spend the bulk of their time on design when they end up not being able to control design because they lack the other skills which they can be taught?

I read your article (News April 19) on the UK Architectural Education Review Group’s preliminary report, Pathways and Gateways, with interest. Should anyone wish to read the full report it is available at http://people. bath.ac.uk/absaw/files

The review group would welcome comments up to the end of the consultation period on July 12.
