The way in which the architectural profession is regulated is changing. Is this the time to reopen the debate on fee scales, asks Matthew Lloyd

Once upon a time there was a useful little yellow book in our office, the RIBA’s A Client’s Guide to Engaging an Architect Including Guidance on Fees. Simply set out, it contained graphs showing recommended architectural fees for different types and scales of buildings.
