As a student I enjoyed reading Alan Colquhoun’s rigorous essays (“Alan Colquhoun dies aged 91”, bdonline December 14), mainly via the Oppositions series.
I found the same rigour in his and John Miller’s practice work, when carrying out an undergraduate study of their refurbishment and remodelling of Charles Harrison Townsend’s Whitechapel Art Gallery.
