Images in new book reveal hidden life of infrastructure and industrial buildings

They document large-scale infrastructure and industry that are hidden from public view – or, in the case of the two aerial shots, patterns hidden in plain sight.

The images come from Civilization, an epic new photographic book charting “the way we live now”, drawing together the threads of humankind’s ever-changing, frenetic, collective life across the globe.
