West London scheme part of wider Opportunity Area development
Allies & Morrison has been given planning for over 200 homes in west London’s Old Oak Opportunity Area.
The site at North Kensington Gate on Scrubs Lane will see the homes built across two buildings – North Kensington Gate South and North.
North Kensington Gate South (pictured) will provide 164 units and will include commercial and retails space at ground floor level. It will comprise three blocks rising between six and 22 storeys.
The 11-storey North building will feature 47 new homes.
Planning authority Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation said the homes will mark the eastern entrance to the wider site which runs across 650 ha and will see 24,000 homes built over the next 20 years.
Work for developer Aurora is set to start later this year and be completed in 2019.
