Among the ideas presented to the Green Dragons Den at the RIBA Small Practice conference last week was one by architect Amenity Space which proposed making building blocks of old Ordnance Survey maps.

Apparently thousands are disposed of each year, although the inspiration came from the 30,000 maps for Architecture Week which London Underground had failed to distribute. With Architecture Week facing the axe, perhaps RIBA should commission a memorial wall from the enterprising duo?
