Gold-clad ‘Tower of Love’ also contains beach cafe and tourist information centre
DRMM has completed a wedding chapel on Blackpool’s seafront. The 629sq m building, dubbed the Tower of Love, is clad in gold-coloured stainless steel and also contains a beach café and tourist information centre.
The first wedding is due to take place next week and the local council hopes the building will become a popular wedding venue, with extensive glazing in the ceremony room giving sea and town views.
Project architects Saskia Koopmann and Jonas Lencer said: “We are very proud to have worked on such an exciting project and delighted that it has been so well received by Blackpool.”
