Aros Architects has won planning permission for this £8 million office building in east Croydon, part of the borough’s Vision 2020 regeneration programme.
The 4,600sq m building, on Addiscombe Grove for Berwick Hill Properties, will use PV panels and a green roof to achieve a Breeam “excellent” rating.
LED technology will also be used in the stainless steel mesh cladding as part of Croydon’s Skyline cityscape lighting scheme.
Mark Limbrick, director at Aros said: “We’re proud of all aspects of the building.
“The mesh cladding is effective both environmentally and for privacy. It’s a very crisp design addition to Croydon.”

Work on the building, which is situated opposite East Croydon station and next to the NLA Building at No.1 Croydon, will begin in 2010.
