Four teams will present to jury
Wilkinson Eyre and Design Engine have been shortlisted in a competition to design a new customer innovation centre for chemical technology company Johnson Matthey.
Hawkins Brown is also one of the finalists. All four teams will present their initial design approaches to the panel on October 24.
The building will go up at the firm’s Sonning Common site near Reading.
Jo Wright, director for architecture at Arup and RIBA architect adviser for the competition, said: “We received a fantastic range of first stage submissions and after lots of energetic debate we have arrived at a great shortlist. I’m really looking forward to see how they respond to the challenge of delivering an iconic sustainable innovation centre for Johnson Matthey.”
