Simpson Haugh reveals £70m Sale plans

View of regenerated Town Square

Town centre regeneration would deliver 202 new homes plus shops and leisure space

Simpson Haugh proposals to redevelop a shopping centre in the south west Manchester town of Sale have been lodged for planning.

The £70m scheme, drawn up for developer Maloneview in conjunction with consultants Barton Willmore, would see the demolition of a swathe of existing buildings at The Square for replacement with new 202 new homes and around 2,800sq m of new retail and leisure facilities.

A planning application submitted to Trafford Borough Council said the homes would be delivered in two blocks of 12 and 15 storeys, with the scheme also featuring new shops, a cinema and a multi-storey car park.
