A 950-home mixed-use scheme in Bedfordshire has been given the go-ahead.

The masterplan for Arlesey Cross site in Arlesey was designed by architect KSS.

The development, which is being brought forward by commercial property management and investment company Telereal Trillium, will include health and community facilities, commercial space and a lower school.

An 80-bed extra care home, hotel and relief road will also be part of the scheme, which will have shops, cafes, leisure and community uses around a new public square.

The masterplan also features a significant amount of green space including swales and ponds, which also act as protection from future flooding.
