Go-ahead for Simpson Haugh's Canary Wharf tower

82 West India Dock Road - by Simpson Haugh

30-storey flats and hotel approved by Tower Hamlets

A 30-storey development in Westferry designed by Simpson Haugh has been given the green light by Tower Hamlets council.

The hotel-led scheme is planned for a site at the edge of Canary Wharf which has stood derelict for more than a decade.

Mark Savage, partner at Simpson Haugh, said: “We have worked closely with [client] Rockwell Property to design a high-quality, mixed-use scheme that will improve connections across West India Dock Road, providing new homes, employment and training opportunities, while creating a safer and more secure public realm environment for the community.”
