City council approves development of six-acre site in Leeds’ South Bank district
Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios has won planning for its proposals to develop a six-acre site in Leeds’ South Bank district.
Buildings at the development, which got the overall green light earlier this year as part of a proposed £350m regeneration scheme, will range from five to 40 storeys.
Leeds city council granted planning for two office developments with ground floor retail and leisure totalling up to 26,100sq m, plus outline consent for a mixed-use development of up to 103,900sq m of offices, retail, leisure, hotel, health, education and community uses, parking and up to 750 new homes, along with new public spaces and landscaping.
The project, for Commercial Estates Group, is located off Globe Road and Water Lane.
CEG, which is also developing a 57-acre site at Kirkstall Forge in the north of the city designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley Studios, will start work on it next month.
