Job includes adding two storeys to 1980s building

DMFK Architects has won planning approval for a new shared workspace in King’s Cross.

The project will see York House, a 1980s office building on Pentonville Road, converted into a contemporary shared workspace, with the addition of two extra storeys.

The rooftop extension will be clad in a perforated, folded metal version of the angled brick elevation.

The design also includes a five-storey entrance structure with a latticed brick skin.

York House is the sixth building that DMFK - formerly De Metz Forbes Knight - has worked on for client the Office Group.
