The number of firms signed up to BD’s 50/50 Charter broke through the 200 barrier this week as the campaign for more women in architecture continued to gather pace.
BD is now firmly on track to meet its target of having 250 firms signed up by International Women’s Day on March 8.
However, Foster & Partners continued to buck the trend by refusing to sign up to the campaign, despite last week receiving a letter from MP Debra Shipley urging the practice to do so.
As BD went to press, the firm was still refusing to comment.
Conspicuous names still missing from our list of practices signed up to the charter include MacCormac Jamieson Prichard, Sheppard Robson, Aukett Associates, SOM, Ryder HKS, Squire & Partners, RMJM, Broadway Malyan, David Chipperfield, Hawkins Brown, Arup Associates, HOK, Terry Farrell & Partners, Aedas, Allford Hall Monaghan Morris, Future Systems, Lifschutz Davidson and KPF.
