Feilden Clegg Bradley has been replaced by AWW after the £25 million redevelopment of Clerkenwell’s Farmiloe building won planning.

FCBS was appointed to the job in 2013. Its scheme will now be built out by Wates with architectural oversight provided by AWW.

The renovation of the former home of lead and glass merchants George Farmiloe & Sons on behalf of Standard Life Investments Pooled Property Pension Fund is expected to complete in autumn 2019. It will provide speculative office space with ground floor retail.

The project will also see a new building constructed on an adjacent plot on St John Street after the removal of  a number of 1930s and 1950s extensions.

The grade II-listed Farmiloe building has been used for film and TV sets and for Clerkenwell Design Week.
