    @SSMN - Annoyingly..?

Gare du Nord - my error.

I do not live in France, I have lived in France in the past.

Why an all-glass box? Not very subtle.

@ Clichy by the way: you wrote "Gare de Nord" twice so it isn't a typo. How long have you lived in France?

Annoyingly, I agree with Clichy. But I'm sorry about the cr*p project. The Gare du Nord is a beautiful building.

Ridiculous article. The Gare de Nord serves many international routes (not just Eurostar) as well as the excellent high speed routes across France.
This has nothing to do with Brexit, the French do not actually care about Brexit - I have lived in France and have French friends; occasionally they wonder why the U.K. have decided to jump off a cliff.
The Gare de Nord project is about French Infrastructure within the greater Europe and France.

Absolutely nothing to do with Brexit. They really do not care if we have to have greater Customs Control or if it inconveniences British travellers.

    Paris is an international city.

Shameful that BD attempts to link this ongoing development to Brexit.

The Eurostar terminal has been overcrowded for years, so expansion is necessary regardless of the author's political views.

A pathetic attempt to give the article a British slant by concocting a Brexit association.

I thought this project was already happening and nothing to do with Brexit?
Could we not say this about Euston Station as well eventually this will become a far bigger station and development ....eventually.

@Tom, come on, why let the facts get in the way of a good anti-Brexit story?

Silly headline. Extending the Gare du Nord is a natural response to growing numbers, and will improve the facilities. What has it got to do with Brexit? Or is that just to catch the eye?

It will be great to get off the Eurostar at an improved station. Paris is wonderful, but Gare Du Nord, and the area around it, is awful.

But why tag Brexit onto the end of this news? It sounds like they are anticipating more people flowing between London and Paris - not less. No one is battening up any hatches.

A misleading (and rather nonsensical) headline - If you read the article, the station is to expand due to the natural increase in passenger numbers, but more importantly because the main idea is to commercialise the station with a shopping centre and restaurants. No doubt there will be some extra space needed for border control due to Brexit, but that's not the raison d'etre for the development.
