Jo Morris’s column in 175w

I’ve been on hols to Lanza to try and forget all about this Brexit malarkey. I’ve already had some ideas how I can turn it into an opportunity for my mates and me but it’s doing my head in and I needed some inspiration.
I’ve been reading a book, which is pissing me off. It’s by Tom Dyckhoff called The Age of Spectacle. He says architects don’t understand their local culture and I say to him, look at Lanza's César Manrique. Honestly, if his work isn't about ‘place’ I’ll eat my beard. Going around his buildings I jotted down some notes and felt sorry for people on package holidays.
But later that day, as I dangled my toes in the pool, an awful thought occurred. If Brexit happens I might be confined to the UK and the rest of the world will never know my immense talent. This is why I came up with the idea of a think-tank called London. We are the only UK city that matters but we need to remind people. So after Lanza, I’ll be in Ibiza, then Corsica mid-August. Maybe catch up there?
