While this building has the superb engineering and stunning detailing expected of a Rogers et al building -the slanted triangular shape is utterly disturbing at this enormous scale -and makes everything around subservient to this tilt. It wrecks so many views, not least obscuring the elegant Gherkin -(a sly slap in the face to a rival? )
Yes these skyscrapers are wrecking London's skyline like giant weeds, monuments to steel-hearted capitalism, while emphasising the ever escalating unfairness in our society, and especially in London.
Is this form of architectural apartheid a crime?
