Seems a bit narrow minded of EH to get involved with something so focused on public house uses. Surely they should be just as keen to promote buildings that were pubs, but are retained in good community uses. I would suggest a trip to www.theoasisreading.org.uk as one example of a pub which has closed, but has been saved for community use.

I agree the loss of pubs as a community hub is bad - but the retention of the community hub whilst not selling alcohol should be applauded by organisations like EH. (I appreciate CAMRA have a clear agenda).
