I have read your CPD but take issue with your Key Issues satatement that @A notification itself will not prove detrimental to future terms of cover'.

I have been meticulous in advising my PI insurers of any difficult clients whom I suspect may look to claim and have found that this has affected my renewal premium even though no claim or suggestion of a claim has materialised.

It is, of course, understandable that underwriters will take note of any initial, precautionarfy notification and act accordingly when renewing cover.

Your advice is, in my opinion and in my experience misleading and a correction might be appropriate.
