Novotel hotels as a brand are quite tacky and usually poorly put together. You expect the finishes to start peeling off within weeks of completion. This looks pretty good for a Novotel. And, as Scepical has pointed out, this is pretty normal for UK architecture. As Caixa has suggested, only the Orbit and the Carbuncle Sark Cushion should be in the running.
