The plastic 'floral' decoration panels that clad the exterior are pretty awful too.

I don't know if there is a good way for a building to respond when it's context is Oxford Street aka hell on earth but there you go.

Some nice entries this year but we all know they must inevitably bow one and all to the daddy - roll on the Orbit!
