to be frank i think these events occured for the same reasons as Rio de Janeiro and parts of South Africa for examples are unsafe places for the well off. The government here needs to take a long hard look at how they are behaving and the atmosphere they are creating or the UK will become similar. The constant onslaught of price rises and salary reductions for the ordinary person meanwhile the rich politicians (who don't take the same paycuts as the ordinary people) and bankers parade their wealth around- which does not create a harmonious society. Mr Cameron won't really care if your local library is shut as long as he can afford to send his children to private school with a fully kitted out library, at least this is how the governement attitude appears to most of us. They are well on their way to creating French Banlieues, but it could be changed still as things are not gone quite that far yet.
