This is a crude joke of a debate. I can't even believe it's being discussed! By not paying interns it offers even more leverage to the already way too powerful employer, who can drive down wages and threaten to fire staff by announcing that he'll have the intern do the job of Part Is and Part IIs level staff. This is the same reason we have firms outsourcing to India, more profit for their pockets! Architecture is the most cannibalistic profession I have ever known, and I'm proud to have escaped from CAD slavery after 15years of abuse.
