Peter Rees has been a force for good, he helped transform the City from an old-fashioned, fuddy-duddy place into an international power house. However, he shouldn't get complacent. The arrival of Crossrail will give Canary Wharf a major boost. The City needs to continue expanding its cluster of tall buildings to reduce this threat and cement its place as the undisputable centre of business.
