I like the way you think. I've founded a new startup company dedicated to developing iPad applications for the business of architecture because we believe that the iPad form factor can fill gaps in the process that have traditionally underserved by technology. Most folks are talking about design when they think iPad but we think tasks like scope and conceptual budget development and fast relationship digrams during project initiation are excellent opportunities (that we're working on solutions for). But even beyond our own applications, the iPad as a presentation device is a powerful tool. the iPad is a great tool to display video clips of virtual walk throughs, and to store well organized images galleries of past work, FF&E examples, interior ideas, construction type examples, etc.
