mmm grey. I like the choice from the TFL street furniture catalog. The architects attempts to create a landmark have been far exceeded. This is a real materpiece is great place making (Good work Boris). I mean we all know its going to get built, so to maximise on this opportunity in such a way is inspiring, not only will it set London apart from other international cities, it is sure to be a great advert for british design. The ability to over the adversity of the current finacial climate is very apparent. You can see the clearly the research that has gone into existing examples of the typology, Park Royal and Hanger Lane really spring to mind. I want more! I am particulary appreciative of BD publishing this, they so politically active in supporting such work (hence the article). Dont stop publishing more like this seminal piece, without you it would exist! Not in my mind...
