Three buildings spring to mind that have appeared overt he last year, firstly the Westfield Shopping Centre in West London, an oversized box of artificial spending, secondly, the Wharfside Point South development in Poplar (was it intentional to look like Robin Hood Gardens?) and thirdly a carbuncle that will appear on billions of TV screen across the world in 2012, the One Stratford development opposite the Olympic Park, an apartment block that has the equivalent of multiple-personality disorder with a green front, blue back and red podium shunted onto the back. Gracious it is not.
