Nice piece and a great building; the latter being well commissioned and beautifully designed; but one error. Urban Splash is not a trendy Manchester designer-developer. They are LIVERPOOL based. I'd also suggest (and I don’t and never have worked for them) that they do long term investment as much as development. So with regard to superlatives I would suggest committed over trendy. Most developers, in my experience, don’t commit like this. Perhaps this is why truly great buildings are outnumbered by truly ordinary ones. Shed KM are also Liverpool based, so great to see bold design ideas, along dynamic urban (and not just architectural principles) coming from a city with a great tradition of both.
