I applaud Ellis Woodman's review with its proper balance between design and construction, and intelligent analysis of both. Where he might be wrong, however, is in wishing that the artfully haphazard composition were more sober and heirarchical. A different reading of the building might see it as an accurate expression of the haphazard nature of contemporary civil law in Britain.
