Features pleated steel and glass facade

Zaha Hadid Architects has completed the new Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University.

The 46,000sq ft building features a facade of pleated stainless steel and glass. The majority of space will be dedicated to art display including areas for special exhibitions, modern and contemporary art, new media, photography and works on paper.

Michael Rush, director of the museum, said: “We are creating an institution unique among university art museums, with Zaha Hadid’s innovative design and our mission of focusing on international contemporary art, and we are eager to launch our full spectrum of exhibitions and programs.”

The building will be officially dedicated on November 10, followed by a conversation with founding donor Eli Broad and Hadid.

Zaha, stop now, retire now, before your rep gets any worse.
Most students of architecture would be encouraged to join another profession if they turned in work like this.
