Project is part of new business district planned for city

Penoyre & Prasad has been given planning for a £30 million office scheme in Bath.

The 15,000sq m project for Bath & North East Somerset Council is the first significant office block in the city for decades and is the inaugural phase of the new Bath Quays central business district that will regenerate the previously derelict area.

Part of this is the recently approved £2.5 million cycle and pedestrian bridge, called the Bath Quays Bridge, which has been designed by Paris-based architect and engineer Marc Mimram in conjunction with Webb Yates’ Interrobang arm.

Penoyre & Prasad’s scheme includes a five-storey building as well as a pair of mixed-use buildings that will provide aroud 5,000sq m of residential and retail space.

A grade II listed former crane works will be turned into an innovation and digital campus for regeneration specialist TCN.
