Nominations open for RIBA President’s Medals
Student awards will be judged by leading architects and academics
Nominations have opened for the RIBA President’s Medals student awards.
The institute is inviting 300 schools of architecture from around the world to nominate design projects and dissertations for the three medals: bronze, silver and dissertation.
RIBA president Ruth Reed said: “Each year, the President’s Medals student award entries deliver an eclectic mix of innovative, imaginative and visionary projects that are always exciting to view; we very much look forward to seeing this year’s work.”
This year’s judging panels include: Jorge Ayala ([Ay]A Studio), Alison Brooks (Alison Brooks Architects), Edouard Francois (Edouard Francois Architecte) and Peg Rawes, senior lecturer in architectural history and theory at the Bartlett.
The deadline for submitting dissertations is July 18, and for design projects September 12.
