Meixi Lake will be home to 180,000

KPF is carrying out work on a masterplan to build a new city in Hunan Province in China which will eventually be home to 180,000 people.

The city at Meixi Lake in Changsha in the south-east of the country is centred around a 40ha lake and will feature a series of neighbourhoods for 10,000 people.

Each neighbourhood is designed to be different and will be separated by ‘green buffers’ which will be a mix of exercise fields and natural landscape. Neighbourhoods will also include schools, shops and other public schemes.

The lake will also include boat transport to link each neighbourhood.
